that looks like depression and maybe a panic/anxiety attack. my friend had these but it never lasted more than a day, so this might not be so clear cut. is there anything that could have triggered it? like some shit recently? were you depressed or anxious before this?
if it lasted a day or so and went away, it might not be that urgent. if you still feel it, look up depersonalization/derealization and see if maybe that's what's happening to you.
i've had a derealization episode after something similar happened to me many many years ago. i never had this type of attack before or since, but it took me a few months to feel normal again. i say this because the feeling of being in an "alternative reality" you described instantly reminded me of it.
like i'm feeling duller foggy and just spectating myself instead of being myself, sometimes like i'm dreaming or hallucinating or that i'm a brain in a vat somehow.
sorry if i can't be more helpful than that. if you can don't wait it out like me and seek help, sounds like this stressed you out and was much more intense than what i had to deal with then.
I think my body getting hot caused the intrusive thoughts to get intense
hope you are feeling better!
