You don't have to subscribe to the politics to enjoy watching the sport.
It's not just hockey, pretty much any highly paid sport will have the players skew to the right politically. Tom Brady, Mike Tyson, Pete Sampras, Don King, Arnold Palmer, Shaquille O'Neal, Dennis Rodman, and many many others.
You'd pretty much have to stop watching all sport to avoid MAGAs.
sports is one of the cornerstones to the american ~~dream~~ illusion, which is used (in combination with other pillars) to keep americans dumb and compliant while their oligarchs squeeze them for every last $ they can.
