Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

That's not fair, comparing Gervais to someone with actual talent is just mean.

And he was only such a good writer because he was in the room with Stephen Merchant who is better than Gervais in basically every way.

Anything you can physically remove from the building is not a safe place to keep valuables.

1v16 is a non-starter because of the travel, like you could potentially have EDMvCAR going on at the same time as BUFvMTL.

Personally I don't have an issue with divisional match-up. The first round of the NHL playoffs is the biggest spectacle in all of sports and having the gauntlet of the Central this year or whichever division is dominant in any particular year makes it even more exciting.

I can see the advantages of the 1v8 format but all it really does is move those pivotal matches to the second round instead of the first.

It's absolutely not a hit to the economy in any way. Money not spent at a festival doesn't evaporate into thin air. People simply spend that money on other, similar things.

Plus the festival is organised by Live Nation Concerts, an American company, with tickets sold through Ticket Master, another American company (also owned by the same parent company Live Nation Inc) so the vast majority of the money spent at the festival wouldn't end up in the UK economy in the first place.

Marvin Heemeyer, Doomsday prepper and all round narcissistic asshat built up a catalogue of people who supposedly wronged him, in particular the city Council who sued him after he refused to pay to tie into the existing sewer network and instead dumped his waste into a ditch at the edge of his property.

He then proceeded to customise a bulldozer and went into a rampage destroying buildings, ultimately becoming stuck and then he shot himself rather than be arrested.

That's like saying pop tarts are more nutritious than heroin.

I'm in the UK so have been forced to watch the Olympic hockey on the BBC so far. Not only do they have a tendency to cut off the first 5 minutes of a period (so they can show highlights from elsewhere) but the commentators are D tier at best and there's no discussion panel between the periods.

Anyone have any links to where I can get some ahem perfectly fine and legal streams? Preferably Sportsnet (for Bieksa).

Is this the worst managed and owned team in the league? In the whole hockey world? In all of sports history (probably not quite that bad but cut me a little slack here)?

In 2 years they've gone from one of the most stacked groups in the league, with 6 players going to the all star game to this.

We're in dead last place and just traded arguably the greatest player in Canucks history, a true generational talent, Calder nominee, 3 time Norris trophy nominee and winner in 2024, Canucks all time leader in points and assists for a defenseman, the team captain, for Rossi, Ohgren, Buium and what might very well turn into a 32nd overall draft pick.

I'm done emotionally investing in this team and shall now be watching the Wild and my second team the Sharks instead until Aquilini sells the team.

Space - more space. An easy connection I think though Space Oddity seemed a little to close to use.
