It's just a UI burden on the user which doesn't exist on apps where likes are visible like mastodon and twitter. Like yeah okay maybe the nuances of communication don't matter to you. Programmer...

Well maybe you should then. Philosopher kings. Or queens or theys (DJs?). I actually addressed this in my OP with the point about it being a pointless UI burden e.g. extra clicks
