Read There is no antimemetics division, wondering why I slept on it for so long. Would like recs on similar SF books.

I don't know if I would call it 'Hard Science Fiction' but Alexander Bogdanov's Red Star is an interesting read. It has a sequel titled 'Engineer Menni.' There's also the works of Aleksey Tolstoy's.
