The DNC under FDR was very different. It used many successful socialist policies to fix the economy and massively improved the lives of most Americans.

Absolutely nothing about what FDR passed was socialist. FDR's policies were capitalist concessions to labor in order to stave off actual revolution, which was a legitimate threat in the 30s, and was never intended as anything more than that meme of paying someone $100 to fuck off.
