Absolutely nothing about what FDR passed was socialist. FDR's policies were capitalist concessions to labor in order to stave off actual revolution, which was a legitimate threat in the 30s, and was never intended as anything more than that meme of paying someone $100 to fuck off.

"Captured" implies it started off as anything else.

The difference being the Soviet-captured Nazis were forced at gunpoint to contribute to their R&D projects, being treated as prisoners before either being imprisoned or executed. NATO made its first supreme commander an SS member, put so many Nazis in the West German government that there were actually a higher percentage of them there than in the actual Third Reich, and let von Braun live a long and comfortable life as a free man.

This was always what was going to happen when they rolled out the SAVE plans. The entire thing relies on the government never once deciding to reneg on their end of the deal, and the second they do you're left with a fuckton of principal on the loan still with no recompense because you were assuming that regular payments would result in forgiveness decades down the line.

This is also why the only real method for fixing the cost of college is immediate forgiveness of all federally owned loans followed by mandating cost reduction for all public universities, but then porky can't print trillions in interest and administrative fees over the next 50 years so it was never on the table.

"The United States, too, has a single party system. But in typical American extravagance they have two of them."

I sure do love living in a fascist shithole where dumbfuck VC investors can be conned into investing trillions into deadend AI startups that require enough power to keep the eastern seaboard topped off, but the idea of publicly owned utilities that could at least think ahead more than 3 years and build redundant power plants to handle spikes in demand is literally unthinkable to the neoliberal political hegemony because clearly letting investors scalp energy prices for profit is more efficient! Please don't look at literally any privatized utility company's record on handling anything ever, even just day-to-day operations!

Arch has a very in-depth wiki that's the go-to resource for a lot of Linux users, and it offers a community-driven way to have access to literally anything that's ever landed on Linux ever through the AUR. It's also nice to have an OS that you never have to reinstall (assuming all things go well).

Why that turned into such a cult-meme is anyone's guess though.

Professional scientists and researchers are famous for spontaneously popping out of the aether like quantum foam, completely disconnected from any causality or prior state of being.

I think the general consensus among anthropologists is that the workers building the great pyramids weren't slaves, just day laborers working for rations of ale and food.

Harris was literally calling for Iran's blood not 8 months ago while talking up how having the "world's most lethal military" was one of her top goals if she was elected.

If you'd like me to stop shitting on the opposition for being warhawks, maybe find some opposition that don't want to glass Tehran just as much as the Republicans.

I'm sure the second one will magically be more potent than the first. If anything, the Dems will probably start clapping like seals for how 'presidential' it is for Trump to drop bombs on brown people, just like they did when he assassinated Soleimani in his first term.
