I am sorry for making this. I didnt want to make this. I made helmfile. It worked. People demanded docker compose. I hate docker compose. So I prefered building this than maintain a docker compose.

It works. It shouldn't. It's an abomination. It works.

In March 2026, Kubernetes will retire Ingress NGINX, a piece of critical infrastructure for about half of cloud native environments. The retirement of Ingress NGINX was announced for March 2026, after years of public warnings that the project was in dire need of contributors and maintainers. There will be no more releases for bug fixes, security patches, or any updates of any kind after the project is retired. This cannot be ignored, brushed off, or left until the last minute to address.

i've been mucking about with calico on my #homelab #kubernetes cluster, and it took me far far too long to visit the whisker console: https://docs.tigera.io/calico/latest/observability/view-flow-logs

this is unbelievably helpful for debugging firewall rules

i'm very tempted to switch to calico on my non-k8s systems now (e.g. Linux gaming PC), so i can be back to only having 1 firewall abstraction in my brain
