Gruff ran straight at me, happy to see me. So I ran away.

Then on the next screen Robin was singing, but stopped immediately when I showed up. Then she gave me the side-eye like "Who the fuck is THIS asshole???" She does NOT trust me.

Then the penguin ran straight at me, until her beak hit me. Then she ran away. Like, straight up assault, and then runs off.

So I stopped by the police station. They were of no help. As per usual with police. Dim witted, and overly aggressive.

Can't a guy just walk into a cutesy town, filled with colorful characters, and just enjoy a night on the town, after not visiting for 20 years??? I mean, yes, I am wearing a black poncho with skulls on it, and a matching black viking hat with horns. So what?

There are SO MANY WEEDS!!!!

So, as a late teen, I didn't have a gamecube. It's the first Nintendo system I didn't get to own. Then I owned a early manufacture era Wii. So it had backwards compatibility. So in that sense I owned a "gamecube". But in my early 20s, I just concentrated on Wii games. I don't know why waggle was so fun, but it was.

The end result being I only owned a handfull of gamecube games, and some that I bought (like starfox adventures, and luigis mansion) I never got a chance to play.

Well, now I'm in my early 40s, and I bought a Retroid Pocket Flip 2. It has a dolphin emulator. I started playing Wind Waker last night.

GUYS! THESE GAMECUBE GAMES MORE THAN HOLD UP TODAY!!! THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!!

Now look, I've heard that there are HD texture packs that you can do. I'm sure they look amazing. Quite frankly, what I'm seeing, is they aren't needed.

All I did was change the camera stick left to right and right to left. Then switched 2 settings in graphics to allow 16x9 ratio, and 3x scaling.

That's it. Now to be fair, the Retroid Pocket 5/Flip 2 has an AMAZING amoled screen. So, it may be unfair to say beautiful screen makes games beautiful. But it holds up. The games look modern.

So far I played Wind Waker, and Super Mario Baseball.

You could tell me these games from 25 years ago are brand new, and modern. They look that good.

I'm (trying to) play Spiderman (2002) on my GameCube, but it's so dark I can't see anything. I'm using an AV to HDMI adapter that you can see in a photo in the comments so I don't know if this is the issue or not. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

I ran into a strange issue with my GameCube and I'm curious if anybody has seen anything similar before. The audio drops out every second or so. The weird thing is that it works perfectly fine on some boot cycles even after hours of gameplay and then pops up during other boot cycles right from the beginning.

It's pretty random but it always either happens right from the start or not at all. It occurs with games from disc and games from SD card. Maybe faulty capacitors? A wonky power supply (mine is an original)?

I know that this isn't a new mod or anything, but I just took pictures of the process along the way anyway. After desoldering the old battery, you can put in the battery holder. It's just a slight bit to wide, so you'll have to bend the tabs inwards. Just solder it in afterwards! And that's basically it. Put in a new battery and never worry about the systems clock anymore :)

I guess I could research but I thought I'd ask. I had a silver GC back in 2002-2004 and around 2009, my dork-ass brother mailed my GameCube to a friend across the country because he wanted to play an online game with him. Obviously I'm never getting it back, but I still have all the games and it would be cool to play them.

If you're unfamiliar, it loads games via the same port as the broadband adapter instead of a SD card. Some games will run better compared to SD cards due to how Swiss has to load games via the sd2sp2 adapter.

Looks like a lot of cool features at a reasonable price.
