I hope this isn't photoshop or AI. I haven't done homework to verify this.

Edit: it was bothering me, so I confirmed it. Apparently this particular picture is a Yellow Bellied Toad but multiple types of frogs and toads have varying pupil shapes.

So, fun fact: some tarantulas keep little toads in their dens. The toad eats little bugs that could be harmful to the tarantula or vulnerable eggs and babies, and, well, with a bodyguard like that, nobody's going to fuck with the toad.

I can't help myself making a point about taking care of those marvelous animals : I hope I'm not giving any stupid ideas to people about frogs, they're not dolls nor teddy bears, please hzndle them with care <3 EDIT : I totally didn't check if there were already a post with this already so I'm sorry for this double post ╰(▔∀▔)╯

What makes a frog poisonous? Are they even poisonous enough to kill? How do you tell between poisonous and non-poisonous ones? btw, why is this community inactive since almost 2 years ago?

Rhinophrynus dorsalis is the only surviving member of a family of amphibians that once had a distribution throughout North America and contained many more species 30 million years ago. Today the sole species in this family occurs from South Texas down into Costa Rica. They reside deep in the ground and only emerge after heavy rains. Their call is a very bizarre and distinct sound.
