So how much better did the healthcare system become since?

[–] zxqwas@lemmy.world 21 points 11 hours ago

It would not.

Billionaires would spend up to 999M every year on hiding their money.

If someone by some chance got paid out you can figure out how it changes their lives by looking at lottery winners.

Yes. This is knowledge from circa 2012 so not sure what the case is any more.

Java 7 timer stops working when the clock goes backwards during DST on windows but not on Linux due to differences in how they handle the change in time.

I'm not a picky eater. The 5 second rule is replaced with "if I get it before the dog does" and I'll eat just about everything except olives.

Having spent time with several picky eaters it's generally because they have through trial and error found out that they for some reason (texture being as common as flavour) don't like most foods and are quite good at predicting what they will like.

In case of flavour being the reason it's usually because they find some hint of a taste that you and I can detect if we think about it but it becomes front and center of the experience for them.

I prefer pickled owl beaks.

What attack are you trying to protect yourself against?

In general no. It does not make sense.

You hide your actual IP from your bank. You hide that you connect to your bank from your ISP. Neither is very interesting to anyone trying to harm you.

I've never seen a group of 3 guys wearing the same tshirt outside of sporting events so it's certainly different to me.

Could get condensation when it gets colder in the autumn.

Eskimos have so many words for snow, I'm not surprised English lacks a word for dying of thirst but have about two dozen words ways of describing how wet you are.

It's ambiguous.
