In the middle of Covid, this happened

Which when I went to the door, I found this on the mat exactly as it looks here, except I moved it to the sink because it was making a mess.

I never found out which of my neighbours missed their order, because it wasn’t any service I’d ever use, even if ordering a completely non-essential item like this was a waste of resources.

But fuck that guy who ‘delivered’ it by obviously dropping it before in his car and then throwing it on my doorstep!!

When enforcement for traffic offences is only speed cameras/cctv /average speed cameras, you can only catch registered vehicles. I see so many illegal e-bikes (don’t need pedalling to power) and e-scooters driven by adults and kids alike, utterly no cops stopping people anywhere.

Illegal e-scooters no less. I’m surprised there’s not more stats on pedestrian injured by riders of e-scooters

A buddy of mine had one of these years ago, I really liked it and you’ve reminded me I need to get one from aliexpress. ;)

The German word Preiswert is great for this, means ‘worth the price’ As opposed to billig - cheap.

To mark the initiative, said to be the first of its kind since admission charges were introduced 125 years ago, the Guardian was granted 20 minutes in the circle on Tuesday morning to sample the solitude.

Maybe 25years ago?

When I was a kid, you could pull over in a layby on the road adjacent the stones and just step onto a path straight to the stones, later there was a small National Trust car park added with a parking fee. Then years later they blocked the road off to protect the stones from traffic exhaust damage, and built up the visitor centre you see today.

No, he was handed to US forces, they court-martialled, acquitted, gave an honourable discharge, he went home to the US. Then only later did the FBI investigate with some additional evidence, and after that was given 5 years and a tracking condition for 20years on release - because of the risk he posed to women!
