I started my own GoToSocial instance this week, and found the same. TBH, from my exported list of about 160 people I from followed on Mastodon, I only re-followed 6.

These were all longstanding relationship - a couple of which started on Twitter when it was OK.

Took ages to produce answer, and only worked once on one model, then crashed since then.

I have friends who live there, and they report the same. They visited us for the first time here in London recently, and were quite shocked by the stark differences.

By remembering that we're all hypnotised by conditioning and are deluded in varying degrees.

It's not personal. Inquire within and see if you can find the "I" who is affected.

I should add that while I'm not specifically a "Jazz Musician", I play piano , and utilise substitutions, extensions etc. :)

Its the same kind if vibe as when you hang out with certain Jazz musicians / fans and they start discussing chord substitutions, extensions, etc.

Same. Just switched due to de-googling.

Has anyone tried this - or any aspect of it?

"Mindfulness is definitely in fashion these days. People everywhere report that it has changed their lives, and the scientific research on the practice is booming. But an interesting change is happening in the world of mindfulness. A different type of mindfulness – nondual mindfulness – is growing in popularity. Furthermore, trustworthy scientific people (like Sam Harris) are making incredible claims about it. They are saying it is superior to conventional mindfulness, that it gives you access to a profound form of happiness that is available at will, and even that it is synonymous with spiritual awakening and/or enlightenment! They also claim that this form of awakening can be learned."

P.S. Not 100% sure whether Sam Harris is a "Trustworthy, scientific person" or not. :)
