Think about how you learn and like doing things. Try to connect your art time to that. Like if you are visual, read a book or watch some art videos, the try some art. If your auditory try listening to some music while doing art. I agree with the tip to try a different medium. I'm only going at as my personal enjoyment, maybe to get things out of my head onto paper, so no professional. When I have an idea I've used my tablet to sketch that down, save it, and later take that idea into watercolor.

When they were building the station near us this was what they put on the sign until they opened.
It was difficult to figure out that this is a carboy. Maybe next time start farther out and zoom in to show the activity. The glare doesn't help, but I didn't think you can do much about that.
We have that same chicken next to our cooktop.
I have issues especially with cologne or perfume. It varies, too, sometimes worse than others. It's like I get a spritz of something nasty right up my nose.
I often have a tune in my head (in a good way, not like having baby shark stuck in your head), and the only relief is figuring out the words that go with the tune. So, these are songs I already know, and I'll listen to that song and songs by the same group, and read the lyrics on genius.com. I'll listen to more songs by that one group for weeks (sometimes months), and don't always read the lyrics, just listening or listening while doing something else enjoyable.
I would say if your child might need accommodations at school or other activities, then you will most likely need a formal diagnosis. My son had ADHD, and his formal diagnosis allowed us to get him accommodations at school. These were small things, but they helped him pay attention better, be less distracted and less distracting.
The issue is pressure buildup. You're fermenting and generating more CO2 than can escape the capacity of your valve. You could take the plug out, remove the valve from the plug, put a tube in so it isn't into the brew liquid, and put the other end in a bucket of water so the end is always under water. Here's an example, I just got this off the Internet because I didn't have any pictures from doing this myself, but I've done this.

I think I do this, but only because I didn't know I was autistic, and just had to. Mostly, I find someone I know and stick with them.
I found this and like how it represents the "spectrum"

Dino socks. Dinos on the cuff, but on the inside so I can look at them whenever I want.
