They showed this dude briefly and I actually thought it was a wax statue and was amazed. He was perfectly still like the image.

Looks aren't everything but you can actually see kindness in his eyes, Graham Platner looks like a piece of shit and no one will convince me otherwise

It's coming back, I saw a young ska band recently and the youth were going wild for it, pogo dancing with chain wallets and leopard print-dyed buzz cuts, it gave me hope for the kids.

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi smiling while discussing the prospect of US ground troops in Iran during an NBC interview.

We are waiting for them, we are confident we can confront them, and it will be a big disaster for them.

Smaller size (file size smaller but pixel wise not that much smaller apparently): small emoji of FM Aragchi smiling

Patch worn by Ukrainian soldier reading "Nord Division" featuring an image of a skeleton soldier in front of a Black Sun, a stylized sun emblem used by the Nazis.

The patch is an image used by Ukrainian rap group Nord Division, I couldn't find much info about them but apparently they are fighters from the Kraken Regiment according to an unverified bio on genius.com

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sun_(symbol)

The Black Sun (German: Schwarze Sonne) is a type of sun wheel (Sonnenrad)[1][2] symbol originating in Nazi Germany and later employed by neo-Nazis and other far-right individuals and groups.

On June 10th, during violent immigration raids at two farm sites in Carpinteria and Camarillo, California, several workers were critically injured and one, Jaime Alanis, has died as a result of his injuries. Elizabeth Strater, national vice-president of the United Farm Workers, said Alanis was injured after a 30ft fall from a building during the raid. I haven't yet seen the specific circumstances that led to his falling or the other injuries.

Community members and family of workers responded to the raid, federal vehicles were pelted with rocks and other objects, no reports of officers injured. Four US citizens were arrested for “assaulting or resisting officers”. Feds have offered a $50,000 reward for information of one person suspected of firing a gun at federal agents. In a statement regarding the incident yesterday, the United Farm Workers have said several US citizens remain unaccounted for.

The mother of an American worker said her son was held at the worksite for 11 hours and told her agents took workers’ cellphones to prevent them from calling family or filming and forced them to erase cellphone video of agents at the site.

The woman said her son told her agents marked the men’s hands with ink to distinguish their immigration status. She spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because she feared reprisals from the government.

I saw it reported by someone on bluesky that a community member detained without charges was not allowed to be released until they deleted footage of the raid from their phone.

LOS ANGELES, June 6 (Reuters) - Helmeted police in riot gear turned out on Friday evening in a tense confrontation with protesters in downtown Los Angeles, after a day of federal immigration raids in which dozens of people across the city were reported to be taken into custody.

Live Reuters video showed Los Angeles Police Department officers lined up on a downtown street wielding batons and what appeared to be tear gas rifles, facing off with demonstrators after authorities had ordered crowds of protesters to disperse around nightfall.

Early in the standoff, some protesters hurled chunks of broken concrete toward officers, and police responded by firing volleys of tear gas and pepper spray. Police also fired "flash-bang" concussion rounds. It was not clear whether there were any immediate arrests.

An LAPD spokesperson, Drake Madison, told Reuters that police on the scene had declared an unlawful assembly, meaning that those who failed to leave the area were subject to arrest.

Television news footage earlier in the day showed caravans of unmarked military-style vehicles and vans loaded with uniformed federal agents streaming through Los Angeles streets as part of the immigration enforcement operation.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents targeted several locations, including a Home Depot in the city's Wetlake District, an apparel store in the Fashion District and a clothing warehouse in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles City News Service (CNS).

CNS and other local media reported dozens of people were taken into custody during the raids, the latest in a series of such sweeps conducted in a number of cities as part of President Donald Trump's extensive crackdown on illegal immigration.
