Really? You can't think of anyone that you should inherently distrust? I can! Cops, CEOs, hedge fund owners, stock brokers, self-help gurus, anyone trying to sell you something, insurance agents, bankers, billionaires, Nazis, religious zealots, politicians... I can think of at least a couple more groups that should be inherently distrusted. If your group spends its existence abusing others- I will discriminate against and distrust you inherently.

Tbf, MOST of them aren't holding themselves back. Jeffries, Schumer, and a couple others are definitely trying their best to keep things as terrible as possible.

Yes, because if we discount every first-hand account because of some people who don't say the exact same thing- then we wouldn't have almost any evidence that what went down in concentration camps during WWII actually happened. First-hand accounts are all we get (outside of tankies running interference for a violent dictatorship) so finding commonality among all of them is how you can at least attempt to verify.
