That's not what happened. It wasn't any more or less toxic than any other place on the internet, the lead admin just got burnt out. He asked the community for volunteers to moderate the instance and apparently nobody showed up.

So he's shutting down the instance next month. It wasn't dysfunctional or toxic, he just sacrificed a lot and AFAIK never even broke even with server costs.

The key reason is that we just don’t have enough people on the admin team to keep the place running. Most of the admin team has stepped down, mostly due to burnout, and finding replacements hasn’t worked out.

What AI slop? There is a surprising lack of spam on Lemmy, if somebody wanted to attack it you'd see a spamwave with hundreds of posts per minute. It happened once when we got spammed by a chinese group but never again.

I don't know who keeps letting Suda51 in the kitchen, but boy does he keep cooking.

Crazy that it's been 6 years since the first one. I know they added a bunch of content in later updates but I'm so ready for a new one too.

Yes, it's a remaster

It's probably a timed exclusive, Nioh 1 and 2 are multiplatform games. I'm just hoping they have better enemy variety, the Nioh games are so close to being fantastic but I didn't finish either of them because they got repetitive.

It ain't Marvel vs Capcom, but I'll take it. Looks really good, but I hope there are a lot of playable characters on launch since Arc Systemworks often launches with a meh roster and adds favorites as DLC.
