Well, it's been an, uh, interesting trial of Lemmy these past few months but I ultimately don't think this place is a viable replacement for reddit. Too many weirdos, too many extremist instances, communities distributed to the point of total dilution, and instances just disappearing when some dude is sick of it. Fair point in terms of threats but I don't see how a missile defense shield would help in any way in securing our arctic waterways from Russian icebreakers and submarines.
The only country I could ever see striking Canada with missiles in our lifetimes is the US if they continue their slide to fascism. There is zero benefit for Canada in this scheme except appeasing the cult's Dear Leader.
No one said all. Don't accuse others of ignorance when your reading comprehension is this bad. When people say Americans voted for this, it's because they don't let the 38% of non-voters off the hook for their passivity. Voting is a duty and their negligence led to this outcome.
