Sherman should have destroyed everything south of D.C. Then, every Confederate politician, military commander and plantation owner should have been hanged.

I live in the same town as a Raytheon subsidiary. I'll never know what happened.

Is carob more sustainable than chocolate? Does it have the same ethical problems?

Why don't we just change the revenue model for power companies. I understand they need money to maintain the infrastructure and pay employees. If power generation becomes so cheap that it can't sustain the company then don't rely on that for revenue. I'd rather pay a flat rate for the infrastructure and operating costs than a fluctuating generation charge. And public utilities should not be for profit.

That's funny, because I was just looking at that game this past weekend. I keep looking for a shareware dos disk that had 3 versions on it.

One was the original text based version. The second one was called EGA Trek but it didn't look like this. It was full-screen. When you fired the phasers, there was a field that fluctuated around the ship you were firing at.

The 3rd game was called Vga Trek. It had nicer graphics and the ships glided across the screen. Also, the phasers were little red dashes that flew across the screen. And the torpedoes were little dots that did the same. If your short range sensors were damaged when you tried to dock at a starbase, it would cut to a screen where you had to guide the ship in manually to dock using a joystick.

Wish I could find those games again.

Edit: It was actually called CGA Trek.

I only use Edge at work because of some screen refresh glitch with Chrome. Whenever I would do something in Outlook, the entire screen would blink for a second. Very annoying. I never put a ticket in because Edge worked fine. Now I will have to enter ticket hell.

Wasn't that called a Jim Dandy?

We have these amazing little computers in our hands. What are some beneficial things we can do with them? Websites, apps, tinkering... anything you can think of or things you already do. I'm tired of doom scrolling.

I just found out that my neighbor that I share a wall with is moving out because of "the mouse issue." This is the first I've heard about it. I'm pretty sure I don't have mice. I haven't found any chewed food packaging or what looks like mouse droppings. I do have a cat but I'm not confident he would know how to kill a mouse. I've never seen him chase anything on the floor but I know he will chase flying insects. I also haven't been presented with any "presents." Could he really be keeping the mice from my apartment by just his scent?

Everything just seems so out of control. The US seems to be tearing itself apart. The world is on fire. We seem to be going backwards when it comes to freedom and human rights. We've turned our backs on each other. How do you cope with all this without just giving up?

So, I just got my tax bill yesterday. It is just for my car as I don't own anything else. It isn't outrageous but I can't imagine what it must be like for other people in the state. Whatever happened to the push to eliminate car taxes?
