There's following the law, and then there's giving away data to government agency just because they asked nicely, and could MAYBE get a warrant in the future. It is the equivalent of letting police into your house without a warrant, because maybe they'll get one.

Can you explain how it can be a biodegradable and somehow outlast everything after being pumped full of chemicals? The entire point of tanning is taking a biodegradable natural material, and make it not that.
Also, tanning and all the resources that go into the cow make leather actually much worse than the alternatives. And that's ignoring all the natural alternatives, like pineapple leather, or cork.
It's not a byproduct. As long as it makes money, it's a product. It supports the industry that is arguably the worst and most wasteful industry we have, the animal ag industry.
The times where the democrats had full power with a good margin were the best/least bad legislative periods the USA has ever had. Yes, yes, they are bad in so many other ways. Yes, just voting for them isn't going to just fix everything.

Well, according to the logic present in this very thread, some people have tried organizing, but they haven't single handedly stopped fascism, ergo organizing labor is useless, just like voting. There's nothing we can do that doesn't require a large amount of people to organize and invest time, effort and money. Of all the options, voting is (because of laws) still the cheapest, most legal, least likely to get you fired option. And we can't even manage that.
