Rewarding people with the most positive behavior might still backfire, as the point of therapy (at least for me) was to stop comparing myself to others all the time. Even a small improvement for someone should be applauded, especially if you're already struggling with the small things.

This person probably goes to the office and sits in her own private room by herself, because she can't focus with the loud plebs on the big open office floor

That rigid sense of time brings back memories. As a kid you'd have to wait on some corner to meet with friends and go out. Without smartphones there was no way of knowing where they were or what time they'd show up. If they were late you had to simply wait for them to show up or at some point decide to leave. All without being able to communicate anything. So everybody was a bit more flexible and relaxed about waiting on eachother.

I went jogging, misstepped and then had back pains for the next 3 weeks. I walked like Quasimodo the first couple of days.
