Batteries are already lasting 20 years, projecting out. And that's just the ones that were made 10 years ago.

I can't remember but I don't think this was on Linux. Solaris or Sun OS or something.

Love your overall point but this was RA3 right? PC gaming was definitely mainstream by then. If you meant RA1/2 era, 100%

In one college class we had to reimplement TCP in our own code on top of real UDP sockets. That was a fun class.

Yeah I remember during one of Bernie's presidential runs it was some sort of "gotcha" from the right that he made about $1M in a year. Like.... okay? He'd be pretty fucking dumb if he didn't make that at a bare minimum from his popularity.
