Just finished up my new server for paraphile & ally artists!! Unfortunately it's for people who are chronologically 18+ only, as I don't want to risk any legal issues with the NSFW side of things. The feeds are pretty barebones right now, but that should change soon enough!

So, I would like to start up a para-friendly art-focused instance, running on either Pleroma or Ruffy. It wouldn't necessarily be designed to cater to everyone in the community, but the idea is to inspire others to set up similar instances to start a healthy network of para-friendly art spaces.

I've been researching the technicalities of how to go about this, and I think I can manage most of that, as well as costs... I have experience with webmastering relatively normal sites, but not ones like this. My current major concerns:

• What are some good, open-minded hosting service options?
• Is there any serious risk of running into legal trouble if NSFW art and underage users are allowed, assuming the NSFW is required to be marked as sensitive? Would it be a safer bet to just make the instance 18+?

Any advice or directions to resources about this type of thing would be greatly appreciated. My DMs are open if anyone is willing to give personal help, as well.

ipseity (n.) - "personal identity, individuality, selfhood," 1650s, from Latin ipse "self" + -ity "quality of being"

An ipseity (plural ipseities) is a label that encompasses the entire self, rather than solely referring to one's gender, age, species, or other subidentities, though subidentities can easily be directly extrapolated from ipseities by changing the suffix.

Maybe you identify as a certain xenogender, for example, but you feel that its concept makes up more of your identity than just gender. Perhaps this would be better classified as an ipseity. It's entirely up to you, of course.

Ipseic terms, flags, and symbols are designed to be fluid, inclusive, and free-use. Individual labels are generally given the suffix "-seity," though "-eity" or "-ity" can also be used.

Here are a few examples! You can find a full list of currently existing terms and flags on the official carrd.

Zooseity / Therioseity (Zooseic / Therioseic) An ipseity centered around animals: when your entire sense of self is interwoven with animality. May or may not imply nonhumanity.

Hyperseity / n-seity (Hyperseic / n-seic) An ipseity centered around higher dimensions. One may feel as though they belong in a higher dimension, that they originally came from a higher dimension, or that their sense of self is influenced by forces that reside in higher dimensions, among many other possibilities.

Puelluseity (Puelluseic) An ipseity centered around being a young boy: when your entire sense of self is interwoven with boyhood.
