First thing that comes to mind is the OG Avatar the last Airbender. Aang has that dilemma at the end of the show but throughout the series he does plenty of damage to kill people. It’s just never shown on screen since it’s a kids show.

My guess on his thinking: Need laptop to look like I’m an entrepreneur. Laptop can’t hide my abs so hold with right hand. My mom is like this. Anything that is bad for the world instantly becomes a problem Jesus will fix when he returns. I’ve probably seen Hot Fuzz more times than any other movie. It was a comfort movie for a while.

Does this include the plot points where there’s a misunderstanding in a relationship? Like where a girl sees her boyfriend hug another girl but doesn’t know it’s his cousin or something and instead of talking about it just ignores him and so he ignores her and it’s just dumb and entirely avoidable?
