@ArseneSpeculoos I never knew laser eyes means BTC maxi. I tought it means crypto maxi. And we all know that BTC is not a crypto coin, is a technical paper from which all other coins were born. Due to its transparent transaction history it is less safe and private than even a banking card.

@ArseneSpeculoos one solution is already here. We increase the hashrate of the network by adding more miners. How do we do that?

PoS is a broken consensus from the very begining. It is highly centraliseable according to players with unlimited funds. It also gives the rich an advantage over the poor. This is basically the story of ethereum, solana, cardano etc.

Bitcoin is also highly centraliseable through mining farms because it is not ASIC resistant.

@ArseneSpeculoos let's not have it, as ir will never happen.

@burgerchurgarr you need server grade computers to create Monero farms. That's impractical and overly expensive compared to ASICs you normally use to mine BTC shitcoin.

@LogicallyMinded no thanks. No PoS centralisation in real crypto coins like Monero. You may implement that to BTC shitcoin as is already centralised in mining farms.

@ArseneSpeculoos p2pool mini floods your wallet with small transactions and also bloats the network. Also it will be hard for using the funds later. It is safe enough to mine on a pool as long as you avoid the top 5 pools.

@Electricd everything generates pollution, but we still have to heat ourselves during cold season. If you meant is lower efficient, then I see your point. However, I will make that trade-off in order to secure the economy of the country.

@Electricd the power consumed is under 5% from my whole bill. I even plan to add a second computer. This one I will make sure is also optimized in KH/W.

@Electricd @LogicallyMinded this is debatable. I do not use much my computer, therefore, I better set it on mining rather than collecting dust.

In the winter time I set it towards max so it also produces heat and it lowers my heating bill also diminishing gas burns and reducing pollution.

In the summer time, I have to set it on very low, as the heat produced is really unbearable. Again, I would save on electricity bill as computers today are very power efficient, thus reduce pollution too.

@matterofact @poVoq to be honest it will make it more popular amongst normies. Especially given that Android is a pathetic experience as a desktop, so they would not care about it. However, amongst Linux enthusiasts won't be as popular.

@poVoq @matterofact yep. Very poor choice to drop DisplayPort feature. Basically, you loose convergence. I was betting on a Linux phone that I can leave my laptop at home and convert my phone into one. Fairphone 5 will remain ahead still.
