https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect#Clipboard

The log reading workaround seems to solve that issue in my case. The only catch is that I need to allow this permission once (there's a graphical prompt - the adb commands aren't needed) when I start the app for the first time, or after force-quitting the background app.

@BrodieOnLinux@mstdn.social made a video about these changes, I think.

It doesn't appear to have had updates recently, but wtype might do the trick.

Perhaps it's because I haven't subscribed to a lot of communities here (Lemmy), but I find Mastodon (and Sharkey by extension due to their federation with Mastodon instances) more active than Lemmy.

I've got an account in programming.dev (Lemmy), fosstodon.org (Mastodon) and fedia.social (IceShrimp ≈ Sharkey, loosely). I've also got a very inactive Reddit account.

Getting rid of Windows, Instagram and Reddit, switching to Linux, Mastodon (not a direct comparison) and Lemmy.

Valent is a (nightly) Flatpak that implements the KDE Connect protocol.

How usable is PopOS 24.04? I'm aware that it's still in beta, and COSMIC is in beta too. But I've been using it on Arch for a couple of weeks, and I've been loving it.

Is it rational for me to recommend PopOS 24 to a fairly experienced friend? He's used Arcolinux and CachyOS; his computer uses a Nvidia GTX 1060.

He wants a comfortable Linux experience, and a distro with good Nvidia support. What are his options?
