yeah, I tested most of the software, and still use Mastodon and Wafrn. I use mastodon to follow a hashtag, but it didn't deliver what it promised. Few major tech youtubers bounced back from it due extreme toxicity.

Wafrn is super wacky software. You can play doom and bite people. It has rage-bait driven development* and connects to bluesky and fediverse at the same time without a bridge.

Bookwyrm and Piefed didn't deliver what I would want from their respective domains.

*allegedly

IDK what are you about. I have made couple of game jams with it and it was fine engine.

Godot. You could try to see if Godot 3 will work better than Godot 4.

Godot 3 is a bit older but still is getting fixes and some new features. (long term support driven by community)

Don't listen to fearmongers and keep on doing what you doing.

It's new funny number. Why it's funny? No one knows or it's funny because the kids decided that it is.

kdenlive is not easy and not fast.

I would try different ones and pick the best that suits you needs like shotcut or pitivi

Is this different than robocraft 2015 project?

+1 on Godot as it provides builds for your CPU (you will have headaches with that)

Other option is pico-8 or some JavaScript library to run in a browser.

editing videos

What program will you use?

I have heard that DaVinci resolve is very hard to set up. as for Kdenlive, I have used it few times, and it felt very clunky.

I would go with mint if you have older hardware and bazzite if you have new hardware (especially nvidia graphics card). If you really want windows-like layout check zorin OS.

for actuall advice: I would try a bunch of them and stick with one where video editing works.
