Have you met a bully?

Usually bully has a reason that they bully, but their targets are just whoever looks like an easy target. If it turns out that they are, they keep them.

When most of the world trades in the US Dollar, America having a trade embargo means a lot.

It doesn’t mean they can’t trade with other countries, but it very much complicates trade, especially with small countries.

Wendover Productions had a pretty good video on the topic recently.

My 6yo was watching Avatar 2 for the first time and the scene where the humans are burning down the forests, and he immediately asks me “how can there so much fire if people have to wear masks to breathe?”

Last year we saw a pickup merging on the highway with a balloon arch in the back and he immediately realized what was about to happen.

He’s very empathetic (he is vegetarian and can’t fathom eating meat. He literally cries over the meat section of a supermarket, though he’s a bit dramatic). And he’s always asking me about complex things like black holes and gravity and inertia and tectonics.

Is he…gifted? How do we find out?

Who gets to have kids?

The poor? The blacks? The Jews?

Forcibly reducing birthrights is absolutely genocide. Unless you are talking solely of reducing birth rates within your own ethnic group…I wouldn’t call Chinas “one-child” policy genocide, per se, but it absolutely paved the way for systemic infanticide. And that’s not really significantly better.
