Don't know, don't care. This honestly isn't my main account anymore, but I switched to it to reply to this post to prove I'm not lying about how long I've been here.

My account is 3 years and 5 months old. I joined Lemmy before it was cool, because I like open source things. In fact, when I joined, Lemmy.ml was the main/recommended instance. Now you all hate it.

Lemmy used to be a barren wasteland of content. Now it is not. I've noticed no further changes. The tankies, the in-fighting, the debates about whether to de-federate with instances, the arguing over whether it's becoming too much like reddit - it's all been here as long as I can remember.

The movie "Legally Blonde." Reese Witherspoon's character gets into Harvard to be closer with the male, her ex.

He, astonished, asks for clarification if she got into Harvard, and she responds with the bottom text.

You are searching for FOSS apps. You are a minority. There is no incentive to make AI lie about whether or not an app is FOSS - it's just not a selling point to the vast majority of people.

However, AI is incentivised to give you an answer that it "thinks" will make you happy. That's one of the reasons why it lies all the time.

They reached a trillion because they don't pay livable wages.

This is just fetish content.

Not a complaint, though.

I came here to suggest MX Linux w/XFCE. I use the plasma flavor mostly now but I've been using MX as my daily driver for like.. 2-3 years now.

I've heard Walmart won't even consider your application unless you list yourself with completely open availability. I can confirm that is what I listed when I was hired, over a decade ago. (I don't work there anymore, so this isn't direct insight.)

Dollar general is always looking for people. It's a shit job, but I worked there for a couple years back when nobody would hire me. Working somewhere looks better than not working anywhere for 2 years on a resume.

Any recommendations for playing flexi-vinyls well? It was hard to get it perfectly flat.

In summary, humans domesticated rye and oat ON ACCIDENT.

This is a fun one to scroll through. Maybe somebody will enjoy it.

Since I went through the trouble of making this for myself, I figured I would post it in case it might be useful for someone else. Prices are in millions of credits, rounded to the nearest decimal.

It's a fresh install of 15.6 Leap that I downloaded and installed last night. Device is a 1st generation Surface Go. I just can't seem to get the onscreen keyboard to stay up when I swipe it up from the bottom.

Also, the keyboard does not appear when I click a text input box.

I thought maybe the long click of swiping up was triggering a right-click, but the problem persists when I disable the long-click option in settings.

I'm stumped. Everything else is working great. I really like that long-click right-click is working, and this is the first Gnome distro I've tried where Firefox touch-scroll works out of the box. And, in general, the system seems faster than other gnome distros I've tried. (The device isn't exactly a powerhouse.)

Thank you in advance for any replies.
