The worst thing an economy can do is subsidize energy prices for political reasons.

Actually I think this position would be quite popular in most countries and I expect more conservative countries to eventually realize this. It’s funny because populist parties from the far right are already aware of this before centrist conservatives do.
I want to know who they are (other than the US)
There’s no center left in the US, not even a center
The socialist party call themselves left and are quoted doing so in this very article.
It’s up to the people to prevent that. We’ll see if today’s Europeans are as weak as Americans in defending their rights
I meant that in today’s Europe, particularly Western Europe, there isn’t the same cultural attachment to exceptionalism. There’s also no existential drive to dominate like there is in the US. There’s more balance, collaboration, and people value collective progress not just individual “supremacy”. We’re all stupid
Not true, the US is in the end game stage of capitalism and is run like one big corporation. Only numbers matters. Europe never was like this
Once they stop warmongering
Honestly, I’m concerned that this will just lead to mega corporations with way too much influence on politics and turn Europe in an oligarchy like the US
All he said is that Europe should be part of négociations, and he clarifies this multiple times
Sorry but if populism is a requirement then it’s the people who have failed, not the government.
