Could it be better to ban 4chan posts on piefed.social (as a rule), and instead have a filter that scans images for a custom selection of words, and auto reports them if there's a match?

North korea isn't undemocratic because lists a bunch of stuff unrelated to democracy

That's a thing the bot that counts votes does automatically.

dbzer0 users can't see this post since you are banned from the instance.

That honestly stays the same regardless of which party gets elected.

As Ireland's $1,500-a-month basic income pilot program for creatives nears its end in February, officials have to answer a simple question: Is it worth it?

With four months to go, they say the answer is yes.

Earlier this month, Ireland's government announced its 2026 budget, which includes "a successor to the pilot Basic Income Scheme for the Arts to begin next year" among its expenditures.

Ireland is just one of many places experimenting with guaranteed basic income programs, which provide recurring, unrestricted payments to people in a certain demographic. These programs differ from a universal basic income, which would provide payments for an entire population.

Hi, !2meirl4meirl@lemmy.world currently has no mods. I think the original mod may have deleted their account.

Hi everyone.

The main motivation for this is that lemmy.world hosts most of the communities in the fediverse, so it's a large point of failure.
They also have some performance issues sometimes because of their size.

There's also recently been some drama about a mod in !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com : https://lemmy.world/post/36059687

What do you guys think?
The main issue is that we could lose a lot of subscribers, since there isn't any migration function in lemmy yet. Some people may not see the post announcing a move, and not subscribe to the new community.

If you guys decide to move it, this community will be locked, and a post will be pinned to redirect people to the new community.

I'd also like some suggestions for what the new server could be.

It's my old lemm.ee account, since the instance is dead it makes little sense to keep the account as a mod there, but I can't remove it myself since I'm not a higher mod.

Same for !neocities@lemmy.world and !facepalm@lemmy.world
