David Bowie. I really mourned him, didn't expect to feel so strongly about someone I never met. Feel like the world got significantly duller and darker since he took off.

Way back when I had a phase of a few months where it was all I would do in my spare time, and was increasingly making spare time to lay in bed and smoke. It just made everything nice, soft and floaty - including living in a crappy flat with a crazy and annoying flatmate (who supplied, and became less annoying after a few hits) and their dog. Luckily they moved out and I had no other source, 'cause I think that could've well been the end of my life/progress. I understood the nastiness of the Opium Wars at that point.

Morphine I think is a lot stronger? Only tried a tab once from a friend, who later OD'd (RIP). I had to keep getting up to go throw up but everything was fucking perfect. Like a mind-blowingly pleasant physical feeling.

Yeah opioids are dangerous, best to avoid.

Going to Italy to use an LLM to find pasta Alfredo is.. well, there's your use case. Pure and unfettered ignorance. I will take my down votes now, thank you. I don't care. Ugh. Just ugh.

cit. I take a very "conservative" approach to philosophy. If you are going to introduce some brand new world-shattering "paradigm shift" metaphysics, then I am going to be your biggest skeptic. I will want you to demonstrate that this is a necessity, either a logical or empirical necessity, such that all more trivial ways to conceive of the world have been exhausted.

... so much time wasted with this fucking gatekeeping. try acid.

Michael wants to party all the time - with Eddie Murphy. Thought it was his ode to trans dating.

Poor people drink beer because they're depressed. Of course no one tells them that beer makes them depressed. Vague memory of a Vonnegut quote. (a serious beer drinker)

No not Putin, or Epstein, but the whole cohort of biznesmeni/bandity behind the scenes who took over in the 90s, sponsored by the US and the rest of the "Washington consensus" scheme. Joining the lizards. Same class of creeps worldwide, is what I'm saying. Giving them and their secret services (CIA, Mossad, KGB/FSB) any kind of special status/perversion/allure per country lines, I think, is an unproductive distraction, and it ends up feeding xenophobia, Russophobia, and in Israel's case, *gasp" antisemitism. Sorry it's a bit of a thought in process but yeah.

They're just all the same class of assholes. I was explained by one dude years ago that they all went to the same "business" schools and are all very much on the same line. They were educated and socialized together, so of course they have their little clubs of horror eveywhere.

Pointing fingers at others doesn't really make for a solid defense, to me. I'm just really tired of the European superiority complex, and refusal to take responsibility for its messes. Just think it should be thought about more honestly, and acted on, if we want to be the good example for the rest of the world as people here are saying we should.. You might have noticed how other countries forever have our hypocrisy to point at when they do their authoritarian crap. Anyway, trumpeting our awesomeness to me seems deeply insulting to the backs on whom our wealth has been and is built.

You're talking as if the pillaging was limited to the 1500s. What about the outsourcing of labor and waste and the privileged access to materials and goods we continue to enjoy, which make our lives so damn cushy? Also lest we forget the US was a European colony, built on violently stolen land. I'd say that was pretty damn profitable until it went perhaps now fully haywire. Something about boomerang effects.
