Also haben wir quasi einen Unterbietungswettbewerb zwischen einem Tech-Giganten und einem Startup. Microsoft nutzt (zu Recht?) seine Marktmacht um kleinere Anbieter auszuspielen. Wenn wir als Europa eine Alternative aufbauen wollen dann müssen wir entsprechend mit Geld gegensteuern und z.b. Opendesk unterstützen, damit diese ihre Software ebenfalls kostenlos anbieten kann.

Bezahlt der Bund aktuell die Microsoft-Lizenzen für Unis? Oder anders gesagt was hält die Unis davon ab, statt Microsoft OpenDesk zu bezahlen?
Da dürfen sie sich bloß nicht dran gewöhnen. Gute Software zu entwickeln kostet Geld, egal ob open source oder nicht.
