... assuming that the server is good for 5 years. If it's only good for 3 years, the economics are basically impossible.

And surely the big AI companies wouldn't decide that hardware rated for ~3 years should be amortized over 5-6 years in order to massively inflate their value on paper.

Surely.

The week after GDPR went into effect was amazing. Almost nobody was ready, so they just turned off all their ads and tracking for European IPs while they figured it out. Pages loaded pretty much instantly.

Unfortunately all of the code blocks are loaded after-the-fact with JS for some asinine reason (highlighting I'd understand... but why the actual text?), so disabling JS also disables all the code snippets on the page.

X10 might work if you just need simple signaling.

Oh wow. I looked at the raw contents of a couple pdfs, but those ones were done properly so I just assumed it was a dead end.

A state ID with stricter vetting. They're needed for access to some government facilities, commercial flights, and nuclear power plants. If you never fly, you don't really need one.

My state didn't start offering them until 2018, and our IDs are good for 5 years. Also, our DVS was a complete shitshow at the time with regular licenses taking up to 6 months to arrive, and double that for a real id. People avoided them so they wouldn't have to renew a temporary license every 3 months.

Realistically, people in my state have had an average of one opportunity to get a real id on renewal.

Nvidia finally made official linux drivers, so you should be good unless you have a really weird setup.
