It would probably be harder but not impossible. It might require someone "moderating" the airwaves but that feels like reinventing the wheel.

 

What are some good resources for learning how to create nodes. Say I want to get creative and make a solar powered node that I can stick on my car's roof rack. How do I even go about learning how to do that?

I think they would be run better if the users had a say on how they're run, so we could all probably use it.

What would a FOSS dating app look like?

 

I think I have a decent setup (heltec v3, 3000mah battery, aftermarket antenna) yet I struggle to make contact with anyone. I'm a little confused as I do receive messages on the general the Long-Fast channel but my messages never seem to send or be acknowledged. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the nature if radio comms?
