I think it might actually, the Chinese consumer ram market just dropped by 20% recently, hopefully that percolates elsewhere as well. Most articles are saying it's a combo of data centers being canceled/delayed and large companies like OpenAI not following through on bullshit statements they've made like "buying 40% of the world's available ram"

This is my exact pattern with Renaissance Faires

Another big issue imo was the fact that the boost was found a couple months before the tournament and they asked other teams/streamers to not use it on stream until after the tournament, which just feels scummy all around

Life can be a real bastard, I'm sorry you've been struggling. The thoughts of a stranger probably aren't very comforting, but I hope things get better for you. I hate that the system so often robs us of the energy needed to create beautiful things.

I couldn't agree more. Dude writes a book about how the greatest human achievement is empathy and how it can redeem us for the evils we commit in ignorance, and then says that all queer people secretly wish they were "normal". Just a reminder we all need to examine ourselves for bias I guess.

Herbert was homophobic, Assimov was sexist, Orson Scott Card is homophobic, it's such a shame.

This is great! I took a look through your other posts and I love your style, it feels very alive. It's reassuring these days to warm ourselves with the flame of human creativity. Thank you for sharing!

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I consider doing dumb stuff with your friends when you're a kid to be one of life's greatest joys

From what I understand, it's more like a Garry's Mod type game. Just a sandbox that let's you build fun and/or dumb stuff to do with your friends. I've never played but I understood the appeal after it was explained to me that way.

I've used metacritic for years, it's much better in my opinion
