Recently on Reddit there are memes after memes on election. Specifically, rather pro-Israel "No vote for Biden is vote for Trump!" If you open, you see a bunch of same-minded people complaining about anti-Bibi protestors.

It's so everywhere I can't see Reddit without seeing such posts.

I can like threadiverse better just for this. I don't have to see the same tiring meme everywhere thanks to having no political campaigning and no forced promotion of posts into my feed.

Just tell her there's email. If she insists on WeChat... Maybe she's... err...

I mean, a messaging app isn't suited for a back up. Just throw her phone into the toilet, and many such apps are gone forever.

I still check facebook somehow (I hate it).

Scrolling the timeline, I noticed that it's 90% ads or promoted posts. This is next level...

Is this only me? Or has FB been like this these days? (PLEASE don't spam "quit FB already" messages.)

C++ can be written to be safe. I don't think WH is the right authority to issue this warning. Naming C++ rather than going after specific features is unfair.

That said, writing safe C++ requires a good training, and I've seen many colleagues who don't / can't write safe C++. I don't think my company has the skill. I don't think I can fix my company. Also, the safety in C++ breaks down the moment someone links to an unsafe library. C++ does not really offer language support for analyzing what's safe and what's not.

We all knew Stroustrup was going to defend C++. I have read him do so a few times in the past. Imho he always does make a point. But I've never seen him admit any weakness. I've never seen a non-C++ dev see his comments and change their mind.

This is actually an unfair experiment. This behavior is not specific to questions about MS. Copilot is simply incapable of this type of discussion.

Copilot tends to just paraphrase text it read, and when I challenge the content, it ends the conversation like this, instead of engaging in a meaningful dialogue.
