Years ago there was a song that always played for the ads on the Chinese phones. I tracked it down and the English translation of the title is "I caught a cold in that corner" by Fiona Fung. I don't really consider it foreign language since it sounds mostly non-lexical.

I also have to give Cruel Angel Thesis an honorable mention.

I didn't know much about it so I looked into it a bit. I was thinking, okay maybe she was like 16 or 17 which is the age of consent in some places and maybe he was like 26 or 27. I remember a time when that wasn't such a big deal; creepy, but accepted. But looking into it, she was 13 and he was 42. I also couldn't find anywhere she claimed she consented. In fact she openly states that what he did was wrong and has consistently maintained that she said no.

She did say, "Straight up, what he did to me was wrong. But I wish he would return to America so the whole ordeal can be put to rest for both of us. I'm sure if he could go back, he wouldn't do it again. He made a terrible mistake but he's paid for it." She also sued and settled out of court with him in the 80s and 90s over the matter. She also said, "It's an unpleasant memory ... (but) I can live with it." She also filed to have the charges dropped as the publicity and discussion of the details of the event have been a continuing source of trauma for her and her family.

As for my personal feelings on the matter after looking into it? He should come back to the U.S. and serve his time. But as DJT said, "when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy."

Don't do a train horn. As someone with ptsd and a heart condition, those things are an absolute menace.

I think a lot of comments are missing the obvious. The right spent so much time and energy convincing everybody that everybody else was corrupt that their base and the ingrained whataboutism mindset makes it okay. And on the left we're afraid to follow their lead and do what they did, openly accuse and do the performative endless investigations that the right engaged in for so long. Instead, the left stands by and allows it to happen because they know they don't have the votes to do anything substantial. Even with the mountains of evidence of corruption, the left knows the right will fall in line and never impeach or hold anyone accountable.

I use DuckDuckGo as my primary search engine and have for a while. But I have noticed lately that every time I search for something, it almost always only returns product pages. I don't know if this is effective SEO or a way of DDG monetizing their search. But unfortunately I've been looking for alternatives just because it's so frustrating when searching for information to get nothing back but a bunch of sites trying to sell you their product.

You're assuming there's enough to deep throat. From my understanding there's barely enough for a tongue tickle.

I arrived well after the other wise men, sweating through my robes and wishing I’d taken a shorter route. I knelt beside the manger and laid out the lamb’s-wool scarf I’d meant to bring. It was soft, pure, perfect. Except the shearing accident had splattered it with dried blood. Mary stared. Joseph’s eyebrows climbed halfway to heaven.

“It’s prophetic symbolism,” I muttered. “You know… blood of the lamb?”

The silence was so heavy it felt like a fourth gift.

Panicking, I pulled a small winter squash from my pack and set it beside the scarf. “And this. For… later.”

The baby gurgled. I decided to take that as forgiveness.

I wanted to install a flip down mirror in my back window. If your lights are set right it shouldn't cause any problems for you. If they're not, enjoy your temporary blindness.

I feel like we could probably get Guinness world records to give him a world record for most lies told in a political career. Maybe they could top it off with the second most to show the disparity since I imagine the second most would be another Republican and an outrageous number, but probably one tenth as many as Donald Trump.

I'm pretty sure the scene from Mallrats was based on me. I stood and stared at those at the mall for days and could never see them. Finally one day - 20ish years later it finally clicked and now I can see them.

It's probably a pile of ash in Patel's back yard by now. Nothing to see here.

Haven't done any real art in decades. Decided I was feeling a little artistic yesterday and created this. Hope you enjoy.

This is mostly done with brush strokes and blending in Affinity photo 1.8. Haven't done any real art in dozens of years. I'm happy with how this turned out.
