Yeah. I'm self employed and some of my income comes from a contract with a religious nonprofit. My wife has three jobs and one of them is for a nonprofit. We have complicatons from certain expenses too, even though we don't itemize we still end up with a number of extra forms to fill out.

We haven't been in a hurry this year. It's a pain and our kids are aging out of the tax credits. We usually feed and house four extra humans (three are ours) but only our 16 year old gives us a credit on last year's taxes. We're going to get a few hundred back but we just didn't have urgency to file. We're pretty much done, I think we'll submit it tomorrow.

I want that phone too. But if I'm honest and someone created it, it would cost more than flagship phones do now, and I already don't spend money on expensive phones.

Yes in North America the non-coastal west can get brutally hot, I've lived a few places there. I looked it up and Albertte has hit 44 C which is decently hot. But they've also experienced -61 C. Which one do you think will kill you faster if you don't have a temperature-controlled place to get away from it?

We don't really get those where I am but we do get unsurvivable cold snaps, so we've got that going for us.

I grew up in Portland, San Francisco and Duesseldorf but I live in Redneck parts of southern Ohio now. Cheers!

Have you seen the video to HARDY's "Rednecker"?

I like it but I don't need a keyboard and the price isn't really impulse buy range for me.

Attach a rope to it, tie it to the back of some kind of lifted 4x4 or truck, and have a buddy drag it around through the fields while you ride on top of it.

How can I be grateful for care I get to help subsidize but can't use? I literally haven't been to the doctor at all. How is that better health care? It's zero care. Broken bones and I just let them heal on their own and hoped it worked out. And you pull a racism card out of your ass too? What a fuckwit.

Gas prices aren't even as high as they've been under other presidents in the last 15 years, at least not in my area. I still don't want to be in another long war in the middle east though.

I only pay for "insurance" now. I can't afford care and skip it. I've had a broken arm, weeks of vomiting, and a dozen dangerously high fevers, chronic breathing issues, and I didn't get care for any of them. I also haven't been to the dentist in over 25 years. But I have "insurance". It's fucking evil and so are the advocates of mandates.

Oh I forgot the cracked rib I had just this January. Ribs heal themselves btw. No worries.

Is it just a picture from the cool market near me, or is it more?

My son has my family's oldest gaming PC, it's an i7 4790 with a 1660 TI and 16GB DDR3. It wasn't booting the last couple of days. I had time to look at it so we disconnected everything and threw it on the table with some good light and connected it to power so I could see what it was doing.

It was clear his three case fans were all dying, one was completely dead. One was in poor condition and one was starting to make noise. I already had extra case fans brand new in box sitting in my house, but I assumed old fans weren't what was keeping it from booting.

We removed all three bad fans, and with the case wide open, both sides front and top removed, I blew it out a little bit with canned air. It wasn't that dirty, just a little bit of dust came out. I checked with my fingers to see that the ram seemed seated and that all the connections seemed okay, but I didn't disconnect and reconnect anything, I just touched it.

I turned on the PC with no case fans (only an old CPU cooler connected) and it booted up. So we installed the three new case fans, and tested it again. It booted up again. We put it all back together and connected all the peripherals and it's working absolutely flawlessly.

So I am asking a question, but I want you for context to know that I have repaired hundreds of PCs, maybe close to a thousand. I have never fixed a boot issue by replacing case fans. I have read that some 20+ year-old PCs maybe would have that issue, but from what I understand a 12-year-old PC should not have boot impacted by case fans. So here's my question: was this just a ghost in the system, or is this actually possibly a real thing?

TL:DR We fixed his computer with three new case fans and the tiniest bit of canned air. Help me make it make sense.
