Your cat must have quite the appetite to hunt and eat a whole roomba.

Basically digital dropshipping.

That would only work for their own slop though. Anthropic cannot recognize Google's watermark, only theirs.

I assumed the goal might be so they could check whether other models have been trained on their output. Like anthropic using that as a "proof" when they start whining again about Chinese "distillation attacks".

Of course, since they're the only ones able to check their watermark, it would be rather shit as evidence anyway. "We've run the numbers, and we know you can't, but trust us, this chatbot is totally copying ours!"

It's practically not of any use to end-users. It's a tool made by the AI company for themselves, to be able to claim a specific text was generated from their model.

Probability becomes a non-problem the longer the scanned text is.

I was not sure how any of this worked, and those interactive demos along with the explanation are quite helpful.

Also a very important point made about this not being a generic AI detector at all, and only being available to the model creator.

  • they can't tell the difference

OK, that one might be more demoralizing than terrifying.

There was a time random people could become "ridiculously photogenic" or "good guy" with luck.

Sorry dude, you're "pervert glasses".

Also, emphasis on "was". Freaking FOMO-farming bastards.

Remember the 3DS? It came with a freaking media player. One you could load with whatever MP3 file you dropped on the SD card. And you could have it keep playing on the headphones while the console was closed.

Switch 1/2 's OS is so barebones.

The latest Rhythm Heaven/Paradise/whatever has a similar feature, but it's only for its own soundtrack of course. It has a soudtrack player mode that shuts off the switch's screen to save battery.

I remember a dialogue in the old game Outcast, in which the protagonist, pretty much a standard, rough 90's action hero type guy, is offered a drink. Which is apparently made from the fermented guts of a local beast. Some sort of big feline-like thing if I remember correctly.

He declines saying something like "That one is probably too strong for me".

Wow, it wasn't even there yet? They're really spreading that content like a half-spoon of jam on the largest slice of bread ever.

Anyway, still not a one time purchase, still a pricy subscription, so fuck that.

I am relatively tech literate and I have troubles remembering every canal I have to use to join all of my contacts. I have like 6 or 7 different ones.

Meanwhile, my father can't remember one password to save his life, and my grandfather tries answering the phone on a TV remote. Good luck with that.

VR modding (jlai.lu)

Hi, new to this community, and curious about whether some people here are into Skyrim VR modding, and if we can discuss stuff that works, stuff that doesn't, cool mod experiences etc here. It's my main way to play Skyrim these days.

I know it's kind of a niche. Skyrim VR is technically a very old SE that will never be updated and doesn't even support mods officially. Turns out, modding Skyrim VR might be a bit clunky sometimes, but it's also the way to make it remotely modern or immersive (VRIK, HIGGS and related mods are incredible). And thanks to the efforts that went into adapting tools and libraries, most often than not, SE mods work perfectly.

Any experiences to share?

Edit : If there is some interest for it, either from someone already using it or just wondering about what it's like, I can comment with a tour of my favourite VR-oriented or VR-compatible mods.

I think this is a bug? I read that this apparently happened to some people with some previous expedition reward ships, but it's the first I've seen it. Steam version.

When I tried to claim the ship, my only claim option was to buy it for 1400 nanites. I hadn't that much left, I basically spent all my nanites on minotaur AI and upgrades (because fuck having to fight yourself in this game). Since I couldn't buy, I had a warning I would not be able to claim it later, and even though I cancelled, while I was trying to farm for nanites that game switched to normal save and I couldn't claim anymore (even from Anomaly).

I've confirmed in another save that the reward is available, but since I don't have that much nanites, I haven't try claiming yet, just in case it got eaten up again.
