This meme is just so annoying and dumb. I'm not from the US so yeah the Democrats would be considered right in most EU countries. But saying its either that or anarchy and Communism, is just dumb. Just like the political right, the political left is a spectrum. Where I live we don't have a 2 party system. There is a big difference between a centre right and far right party, same for the parties on the left.

This isn't really new, when I was young a lot of kids wanted to be a pro footballer or singer.
Worked with a guy that would always say I'm refactoring X and it would usually give us weird issues and bugs. So after a while the team started calling it refucktoring
Yes just like radical Christians, radical Muslims don't like anything gay, female etc. There is a reason in some Middle Eastern countries women can't go outside without a man "protecting" them.
Yeah what I mean is for me it doesn't really matter, I am not going to break a bottle, and even if I accidentally did (not really sure how at the beach in soft sand) I would clean up the glass pieces. Broken bottles at the beach are left by assholes, not by accident.
For me it doesn't really matter, glass or cans, just take whatever you brought back home or to a trash/recycle can

Yeah I mostly learned English watching Cartoon Network, when it wasn't with subtitles or dubbed. They basically started airing in the Netherlands and an entire generation learned English by watching cartoons after school.
This is now repeating with YouTube and teens watching a lot of English youtubers.
I miss those days, Dexter's laboratory, Dragonball Z, two stupid dogs...
With a system like .beat (or internet time as it was also called), there are no timezones and there is no daylight savings time.
If we would use a system like that, I'm pretty sure stores in Barcelona would open at a different time than stores in Amsterdam, because the sunrise at different moments. Now we have the same timezone, because it works wel for trade, not because its the best local time.
Using the exact same time globally could fix that. We use the same time for meetings with people abroad but choose the time that fits when the sun rises

I think what will hurt them much more is the EU realizing the danger in dependence on American tech like Microsoft, and slowly replacing it with (open source) alternatives.
