overview for berty

Occasionally I just use SMS for plain text like "Hey let's hang out later". I don't use it for longer chats, sending Pictures or anything like that. I don't care about RCS since I don't use google services.

This is all wrong to me, schools and parents should educate their kids and take interest in what they are doing online, it shouldnt be forced by the government.

Of course this is all for security reasons so we don't download these evil and malicious apps from well known appstores like F-Droid. Thank you Google for parenting me so well and kindly, I would have never known how to stay protected.

No issues with games here. But sometimes steam voice chat crashes and is unavailable for some time.

Reminder: whatsapp chat backups (to google account) are unecrypted by default unless you opt in for encryption and write down a very long rescue passphrase.

Ich war schon länger nicht mehr auf dem Portal aktiv, aber im Moment suche ich nach einer Kamera und habe den Eindruck, dass dort sehr viel Scam und Betrug verbreitet ist. Bei manchen Verkäufern bekomme ich am Tag nach der Anfrage eine Warnungs-Mail von Kleinanzeigen. Ein anderer Verkäufer schreibt, Abholung sei in den nächsten Tagen nicht möglich, weil der Terminkalender so voll sei und fragt, ob Versand nicht doch eine Option sei. Eine Bilder-Rückwärtssuche ergab dann, dass die Bilder geklaut sind, also ebenfalls Betrug. Scheinbar alles gehackte Accounts, ich dachte, das hätten die irgendwann mal in den Griff bekommen.

Habt ihr auch die Erfahrung gemacht oder hatte ich einfach nur Pech?

I'm on LMDE 7 Gigi and use standard Firefox that comes with Mint. Recently I installed Librewolf via Flatpak and wondered why all the touchpad gestures like 2-finger-swipe for back/forward and pinch-to-zoom worked out of the box in Librewolf. When I looked that up it seemed that this only works with Wayland but not on X11. I guess this comes down to the installation via Flatpak?

Is there a way to get these gestures on Firefox under Mint? Or do I have to wait for Wayland support? I'd just use Librewolf with the gestures working but unfortunately I couldn't get my KeePassXC data bank synced. This might be because of Flatpak, I tried to manually set the sync folder but KeePass couldn't find a connection there.
