no. those federal agents murdering people are our employees. we pay them, those that can handle violence and those that cant. everyone needs to own what people are doing IN THE NAME OF AMERICA, in our name, with our money, and with our blessing if we dont stop them, all of us

watching people you employ kill someone makes you uncomfotable?

“There's no emergency,” said attorney Kelly Wood with the Washington Attorney General’s Office.

yay! this is fantastic news

resist. resist. resist.

shut it down. ignore the epa. fuck the national government, act in open revolt. its over, stop listening to them out of some sort of misguided sense of "well if we just go along with it now, later we can deal with the consequences" OR we can stop.

its our government. we made the rules. we can break them in times of need. this is that time. close the fucking coal power plant as planned, fuck what these people who EVERYONE KNOWS has bullshit intentions says. just ignore them. they have no power if we all stop listening

"but they have guns"

they cant kill us all. and if you think itll get to that point, then youre to blame for letting it get this bad in the first place. the time to sit the fuck around and watch football and wait for the midterms nd hope it doesnt get too much worse is long past- by a few decades at least

stop listening to the stupid bullshit the administration says. states, gang together, fuck the national govt until it gets its shit together

why is this so hard- this is what we get for voting career politicans into office. theyre all too scared to do something that could get them primaried- not by the will of the people, but of their party overlords- and so this is what we get, because we were too lazy to participate ourselves. in true american fashion, instead of taking turns in the government before returning to our nornal lives, as was the plan and makes sense, we outsourced the running of our communities to career politicians who we vote into office time and time again, politicians backed by the factory owners we've been fighting since factories came about

not with a bang, but with a pathetic, lazy, spoiled whimper

it's food.

Food!

FOOOOOOD!!!!

it's FUCKING FOOD you SPOILED FUCKING BRAT - in a normal community, in a compassionate society, and to ANYONE WHO ISNT A SELFISH EMBARASSMENT TO SENTIENCE, food isn't something you lock behind any paywall, work restriction, qualification or barrier or any kind! you, as a rule, make enough for everyone, and see that anyone who needs it, gets it

why? because that's the right thing to do, what other reason is necessary to treat the worst off among us the best we possibly can?

the alternative is needless, selfish greed. shut the fuck up, selfish, greedy jon husted- you likely have nothing of value to say that bears repeating. make way for those who havent given up on basic human decency.

lol "work ethic" they shipped all the fucking union factory production industry jobs overseas, you twatwaffle- you want me to raise a fucking family working a starbucks and moonlighting with uber? what fucking JOBS do you expect us to go get? lolol in ohio no less this guy is like "our generation dismantled your industrial base and left you with the shell of a nation- now go get a service industry job with no pension and absolutely no job security and like it, or i guess you can starve idk"

shut the fuck up, you distasteful joke of a human being

(FYI I'm a confirmed, happily life-long-lapsed catholic as a legal adult, so ban me if you want, but this isn't just some rando agnostic rant. I'm not the type to make a habit of trolling. it's just, your organization sucks, and it's sad there's so many of you, and it's sad you choose to clog up our limited server space with your junk, but hey, do your thing, I'm not here to say you shouldn't be here, I'm just saddened that you catholics exist at all anymore!)

I mean, I don't really care to have an answer as to why they care- that's not really the point of my post. if you know why they care and you agree, then, wow! it's ok you and your generation will all be dead eventually, and the window will shift slowly but surely away from your nonsense as it has for a while now

i wonder how much more time you would have for living like jesus- how much more time you could and would spend helping feed the hungry and housing the homeless, comforting the sick-

i wonder how much more time you would spend doing what you claim is the most important thing in life if you didn't spend so much time worrying about if other people are being good catholics, and dictating with legislation if other people have to act like good catholics, rather than living by example which - i'm pretty sure - is how you're supposed to act as a catholic, not by dictating to others that they MUST do the right thing or else they're a criminal

yikes

anyway, happy solstice, transphobes! your bishops could be like 'make sure you spend extra time this cold holiday season helping the less fortunate among you who need food and shelter, and instead their organization is using its voice to... i dunno, you tell me if spending your holidays gathering signatures for a ballot initiative that dictates biological gender standards for children's sports competitions sound like radical, unconditional love

does it sound like jesus to teach children to worry about who is better than the others at arbitrary competition? i'll go ahead- nope, sure doesn't! sure sounds like that's just a whole lot of completely inconsequential bullshit compared to oh i dunno people starving, or hey how about starving children? sorry starving children of washington state! these awesome catholics chose to spend some time worrying about dictating who you compete against in shit that totally doesnt matter, instead of using the might and obscene wealth of their organization to systematically make sure every single one of you was well fed. theyre out here latching onto (the wrong side if you consider what they claim to believe) a political wedge issue (as if it benefits them when the population is divided), using their platform as champions of love to help some republican party hacks steal elections with manufactured outrage

y'all are just so embarrassing and somehow you go along like you don't even know it

also to the 'oh but im not transphobic-' nope, shut up. you give this organization money? the catholic church? you're part of the problem, you're supporting them. and if you're not actively changing their stance, then you're condoning it, plain and simple!

('peace and grace' my ass, you rabble rouser)

EVERYONE ENJOY THE LONGER DAYS!

Now make the executives pay back every bit of money they stole from their employees

Gig economy was our justice system asleep at the wheel while fatcats created a way to work around all our hard won labor protections

The people in charge and the investors will never be made to give back what they stole from the people who actually did the work. Uber, doordash, instacart, theyll all fail, thousands will lose a source of (illegally low) income, and the ones who made it happen and profitted the most will happily move onto the next clearly illegal venture until the court catches up with them again.

I say we hunt them all down and make a nice stew.  They know what they did, and Im fresh out of compassion for the rich- the rest of us are trying our best not to be complete assholes and theyre just laughing like "you idiots could have a yacht!"

But, hey, enjoy your gig economy stuff, dear reader. Youre totally not condoning their behavior by continuing to order thru amazon or riding with uber. Enjoy those sweet, sweet savings youre making off the backs the would be union employees, who instead get to work as contractors with less than minimum wage and no unemployment, no disability, no medical or dental or vision insurances. No raises. I mean people made good money doing USPS, UPS, FedEx hell even domino's pizza, and now we've whittled away those careers - and people have the balls to complain about missing packages? youre the one who only wants to hire somone willing to work for a pittance to deliver your stuff

Theyve been employees the whole time and there will be NO recourse for those who knowingly and willingly stole from these workers for years. Years! As we all looked on and bought stock in their illegal companies because the giant corporation we work for doesnt have pensions anymore

Yeah this is all a wonderful system working perfectly, no notes

...im gonna go have a good cry

If they don't have to explain themselves, then they shouldn't expect one when the angry mob shows up at their door 🤷

I admit unexpected downtime sometimes frustrates me, too, but SDF is community funded and volunteer operated. I always assume there is someone working to fix things (as soon as they actually know something is down), but I also know crashes, upgrade woes, hardware failures and the like will happen. Have you asked the SDF community if there is anything you can do to contribute to better uptimes?

Putting out there that if you're waiting for the next outage of a few days to move servers, it's more than likely going to continue to happen 🤷

citing an executive order

An EO!? It doesnt fucking matter what any despot wannabe in office says- we have a constitution. It states you havr freedom of speech. As long as they were on their off time, someone should lose their job for this firing.

She says 'it was clear' the airline and the union 'needed another tool' to continue negotiations after the union went on strike.

Arbitration isn't a fucking "tool" that somehow magically facilitates negotiation; it's a weapon used to bypass the legal system and force parties to agree to a resolution. Take your fucking doublespeak and shove it. If parties can't reach a resolution within the legal framework, it's not the damned government's job to step in and force one- that totally negates the power labor has to refuse to work.

This Jobs Minister clearly cares more about perception and finding a resolution ASAP than she cares about labor and our rights as workers. Never forget who actively works against us as workers.

"Someone should tell the rich that workers banding together to present formal address of grievances is the alternative that we worked out a long ago to breaking down the factory owner's door and beating them to death in front of their family. I feel like they forgot."

Why do we strain so hard to find hidden messages when the truth is staring us in the face- it looks like a bunch of white folks following some supposedly divine decree to drive natives off their homeland, selfishly displacing and decimating the bison population while theyre at it, claiming that's some sort of heritage to be proud of. I dont need to count words or notice weird capitalization to know some twatwaffle who celebrates the absolute worst and overtly racist parts of colonizing north america posted this

I started paying for kagi when I learned it works more like classic (vintage?) search engines. More focused on accurate results, which may be a few or nil, instead of mangling your terms into something they can sell & insert the highest paying advert that matches something close.

I have not been disappointed. They also do AI stuff, if youre into that. Or you can toggle it off, and never use their assistant.

equifax/transunion: we're going to hold all your personal information in a database to "determine your credit worthiness." don't worry, it's totally secure- WHOOPS, we got hacked! guess everyone has your personal information and phone number now

me: *uses a separate phone number for various purposes to manage spam and potential identify theft from data breaches

equifax/transunion: oh, look! we don't care why, but there are "too many different phone numbers" being reported for you. we're lowering your credit score

me: sigh 🤷
