The biggest problem with the US is lack of proportional representation. Winner-takes-all elections have led to the inevitable outcome. It's also why in Europe the propagandists are trying to push for the same system whenever they can.

Make up bullshit reasons when people post from or about a certain thing, and people will only think you are nutty instead of actively suppressing content. The fun benefit of doing this is that you can even do it when a community has more members of the type you want to suppress, you just do it occasionally and statistics slowly allow the content to be herded to where you are leading it. Troll factories love this one trick, as it is indistinguishable from actual power tripping mods.
He only cares about free speech when he can control what and whom it is flooded to. If you disagree with him, it will get automatically prioritized for the trash heap and chances are his critics will have worked it out of their system to bother complaining somewhere else, giving him a two for one. Americans had one vote, and you guys continue to gaslight what it effectively was, for Trump or against Trump. What it wasn't was an opportunity to change the system by making a political statement, and now all anyone who has fallen for this rhetoric has done is cemented where it's heading to now. To change it you would have had to work outside the system. Now, even attempting to do so is far more likely to get you locked up. Congrats.
The more I think about it, the more this sort of gaslighting reminds me of Eve Online shenanigans. Which is fair, after all, users like Jibrish moderate r/eve like they do r/conservative.
So basically, still in denial about how Trump and Netanyahu are going to absolutely wipe out Gaza from history now while gaslighting'ing as hard as r/conservative. The overlap with the way Trump voters handle politics is astounding.
confederation
... odd choice for a term ... Nobody in the EU would define themselves by it ...
Well, trying to use terms to justify the US confederacy post-Civil War aside, it would actually be better for a lot of states. The rest of the world can no longer trust and increasingly bipolar schizophrenic US, whereas that's not the case for a certain number of states. You can't overcome the deeply flawed and corrupt two party federal system, and it's rapidly becoming even worse. If you can't fix the problems from within, you will only be able to fix them from outside.
The fact is, banning X is free political points. The moment a country does it, it will domino into other countries doing it as well, and they will be seen as having been the leader and first of the movement. They should make sure users know of the federated alternatives before they do so, though.
