I’m personally a fan of buying a physical copy, and acquiring a digital copy.

No, I prefer default Firefox. The product is sound and doesn’t raise any actually security or privacy issues for me. A little bloated? Sure. But doesn’t really affect me to be honest.

I’ve played the custom fork game for a few years with Chrome - I’m not interested in lagging versions or random bugs any more, and because of that experience I now simply want things to work as expected and be updated frequently.

Microsoft can do whatever they want. So can I, and I have no want or need of their products.

The companies get to fulfill their legal obligation, and the kids who can figure it out unlock the reward of an uncensored community. No one’s IDs are compromised in the process.

Win / win?

IRC, DCC, Rizon, Nickserv, his post makes me feel 20 years younger! Can’t wait to try out IRC again later tonight.

You’re not incorrect, but I do find it ironic since his social media network is just a modified Mastodon instance.

He’s suffered enough.

Well well well, look who likes using banking apps and tap-to-pay.

I made a reply instead of a top level comment, then remembered https://gpldl.com/repository/

I think it’s legit, but verify the code if you can. Since Wordpress plugins are all GPL technically it’s not piracy 🙃

They’re also all GPL due to the nature of Wordpress, even the “paid” ones, so if you can find a copy you’re also in the clear - just be careful of your sources.

That, in and of itself, is not something that can bridge this kind of a gap, but it’s an indication of the ways in which money has been spent while refusing to account for the actual costs of what these programs are.

This is what I see as the important bit, and indicates both a level head and clear communication. We need more politicians across the board who can answer directly like this, and not try to inflate or exaggerate.

Does discovery in the UK work like it does in the US. I don’t have an opinion on this, but I’m interested in what we might learn about Valve from the discovery process.
