Their support staff are always being commended, seems odd to me.

At the same time they allow rusdian war crime simulators.

One Irish one I remember is where a man with a hump on his back meets some of the other folk and they tke his hump and throw it onto the horizon where it becomes a hill. He thanks them and they become annoyed with his gratitude and pick up a bigger hill and give him a bigger hump than ever.

Practical, sounds good

I have a syncbox with an apple box and playstation in hdmi 1&2. Usually using the apple remote turns on the apple box which them turns on the sync and tv. Starting this week, using the apple remote turns on the apple tv which turns on the sync box which turns on the playstation!

I dont know what changed, I did not change any settings.

Proportionally Representative Single Tranferrable Vote.

Their stances were unreasonable and pissed off more than brought them on side. It aligned with anti EU sentiment which is unnecessary horse shit.

[–] Squizzy@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Absolutely, this is more shit to divide NATO. Dont give time or quarter to anyone attacking the EU or NATO at this stage. Criticism is alright but should not go as far as encouraging the end of the orgs

Is there a few examples of good practice here? I see a lot but have no idea of what is realistic or well put together.

Some of their demands were stupid and over the top. They already had supports and rebates in place and instead of just blocking in ports and refineries they impacted emergency services from getting to and from emergencies and exasperated an issue.

Hauliers and the IFA vote FF and guess who is in power? FF/FG, they literally voted for this and when faced with the inaction that the rest of us have to deal with as a result of their vote they throw their toys out of the pram.

The government could have done more, as always but this shower of selfish cunts made an issue about them and created a crisis.

Less of everything in fact, community care to foreign investment.

Pr-stv is the most democratic process and an absolute must for democracy.

What size car battery have you? Mine is 64kw and I have a 7kwh charger at home. Overnight is ok but I cant imagine 1.2-2 being good enough.

The cars can do that though?

Kia's scheduling is poor but functional.

Would anyone with the abililty and time be up for creating a space to discuss upcoming or classic european movies. I say upcoming because it would be great to support our own, and older because I have lots of great ones to share!

Hi All,

Focusing on privacy and open standards, can anyone suggest network elements from switches routers to IoT like doorbells and lights.

Hey so I legitimately own C&C remastered. I cannot find my huge dvd case game and got the repack instead.

I install it on steam using setup.exe and forcing proton 9.something.

I get it to install, it crashes due to some dependency issue. I hope to solve that issue but my main concern is where does it install, why can't I just see it in the list of games in my library? All I see is the setup.exe in the list.

Disclaimer. New to everything mentioned here, linux, steam, repacks pc gaming. The works.

I am trying to install gopher64 through the flathub link on their git. Mint is supposed to have support baked in but it is saying there is no associated program and I cant find one.

Any advice?

Saw him recently, very impressed with him. He has always been brilliant, I ws surprised to see him mention some american stuff but delighted to say he called out Joe Rogan as shite and those who performed in Saudi as whores.

I am looking to have a physical switch installed in my living room to control the PC.

  • Is it a possibility to have that, are there issues to be considered?

  • I am thinking a fancy looking wood and press clicky switch with good travel. Suppliers?

  • Volume would also be great to have.

Any avice appreciated.

Firstly, don't think I am loaded here this is an ideal list that I will chip away at over time - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xVL9kf

I am looking at getting a fractal desigm north xl second hand, I presume there is no danger in that other than standard non new concerns.

Are case models universal or will I need a specific motherboard and then specific cpu/gpu etc.?

I just want something as a proof of concept that this can be for me. I am aware I am the problem.

But everything is wildly difficult for me. I pulled back from docker after realising it was above my skillset, I just want to try home assisstant with a few lights but fair enough it is beyond me.

I opted to install a game, fail. Learn about wine and bottles. Start a bottle and get told I only have 8gb free in directory, I cannot for the life of me see where it is getting that from.

Please god someone tell me there is a step by step for the fucking imbeciles out there on where to start!?

Hi all! I am running some recent version of Mint. I have been away for a bit but came back and thenpc reads 0 bytes free. Ooening the directory shows tons of files in home/private/ecryptfs some as small at 12MB and some as big as 170GB.

I tried to get some info but the terminal returned nothing on them, thought it might be shit and I dont have anything precious on it so I moved to delete but was told there are no such files when I did. I tried to sudo remove but got permission denied.

At this point, realising I dont have this connected to the web, and it hasnt been switched on in months despite the files showing ages 1-6 months - I thought an aold fashioned reboot would solve but now Mint won't let me passed the password login.

It recognises incorrect passwords but correct ones give a quick flash of a black screen with a typing marker flashing and back to login.

Any direction appreciated.

Hi All,

I am looking at starting a project and was wondering if there was a way to make it so a controller type changed boot conditions. I want to move to linux for my home entertainment and would like to have a ps5 controller boot Lutris and a different controller boot into something like KDE plasma.

Is this a possibility or nonsense?

The playstore is really poorly laid out. I dont know how to leave a review anymore. Every description has the same nonsense first instead of a description. Sometimes you can select the app developer to load their page with all their apps and sometimes you can't. When did it get so bad?

I just wanted to flag an issue with an app and the review function isnt there.
