The full spectrum white light would be too intense on this light right now, it’s not adjustable, so I’ve got supplementary wavelengths on, they’re better for seedlings anyways.

Fan for airflow, humidifier since it’s dry as shit here.

Most have some true leaves coming in, but there’s still a dozen or so still sprouting as well on the heat mats.

Materials are regional. Woods easily accessible in Canada and USA, so it’s the predominate material.

Wood and plaster isn’t the most ideal material, but it serves it purpose for the expected longevity in f its purpose. It’s not gonna last as long as stone, but at the same time, does everything need to? People do like change as well.

They can build it stronger, but why waste the money? If a Honda works, why always buy a tank? Not everyone likes them as well.

2x4s are fine for up to 2 story houses where I live, so you either use 2x6 to get the r20, or a slightly better option. Still use 2x4, but clad it in rigid insulation to go from r12 to r20. This removes issues like thermal bridging and moisture penetration. But costs more and takes longer to do as well.

Yeah and the stuff’s all rated and graded anyways. New growth is perfectly fine to hold up a house, it’s what codes are based on. If a 2x4 isn’t enough, instead of speccing a higher grade that’s more expensive, just use 2x6.

It’s a total non issue, tradesmen know better than to spread this.

Do you think typing paragraphs and bloviating makes you seem more intelligent?

Maybe there’s a reason why a “toy example” isn’t a good example to use in these cases, since everyone knows it’s far more complex. You don’t get your point across by missing points and pretending to be simple after the fact, just makes you look foolish and now trying to backtrack. You fucked up, own it instead of backing yourself into a corner.

You realize that the excavator is more expensive so it gets it done faster yeah? Labor is dirt cheap, a dozen guys can do the same thing for a fraction of the price. It’s just gonna take 10 days instead of 1.

You’re just making shit up, and missing every single important point along the way as well. I’m pointing that out, but it’s also not surprising that you missed this…

An excavator and a person digging a hole charge two vastly different rates.

Equipment is $100+ an hour, plus the operator at $30+, hole digging can be done minimum wage. If your excavator is broken and you try and charge the same rates, you’re gonna be outta business fast. It’s up to you to be fluid enough and have labour to handle issues like this. Like if it breaks down, you better already have a contingent plan, even if it costs your own paycheque.

That said, companies will do posts holes for $20 a hole with 10 minimum. But that’s free access and an auger only. Removal is on you.

That’s grunts and air escaping their lungs, link actually vocalizes sounds, they aren’t mute like the others.

Smack a Buddhist or a mime and they’ll grunt like freeman too.

HiYaah!

Link makes plenty of sounds.

Does the nation benefit when there’s no actual benefits like health care for the citizens?

A short story anthology edited by Asimov called “Ghosts”. It’s the tenth rendition iirc and each of the Fantasy and Science Fiction anthos has its own theme. Just a random antho in my collection, I don’t have any others of this theme style though

Next is Star Wars XWing book 9, and I need to bug my brother to swap more books for the next batch of Star Wars. Jedi Academy Trilogy is next.

That’s just what the guy looks like though.

Time isn’t the only factor, water may not be available, if it’s a colder place, you need to keep it heated all day while you work. Dry bonded concrete works, if you’re replacing all the posts, it doesn’t sound like it’s only because a few failed, because you would just replace those ones. It’s not an inherently wrong job just because you don’t like it lol.

And auger makes the task moot anyways, and if it’s powder, a shovel works fine too.

They’re all peppers and most look like they have their taproot coming out of the seed as well. Hopefully some aren’t too deep.

At least, that’s what I assumed happened. It’s a first edition copy from 1999 as well.

A few different mixes of sweet peppers, but I also started jalapeño , shishito, habanero and Hungarian wax as well.

One of the sweet peppers are purple as well.

Got some stems coming out of the nodes where the single bract usually is.

From what I’ve been able to gather, I think they just have the writer wrong, it’s Isaac Asimov, and the book those two did together is The Space Merchants, which doesn’t appear to have to do with crime at all.

I’m currently reading “The Number of the Beast” by Robert Heinlein. Book is from the 1980s, and there’s a completely doubled up paragraph in the book! It spans two pages but the image shows enough I think.

Finally got around to installing the AC and plumbing it, so now I can turn the lights on and start things off. Not entirely ready though.

Garbage can will be a water reservoir, that’s the next task.
