Fair enough, but I'm a proponent of letting the job dictate the tools, even for newbies. The earlier new devs learn to do that, the easier higher roles become.

As a Python user, I'd love to recommend it, but it's a really bad fit for a game engine. I'd honestly love to see more engines in Rust, since Rust's control over memory and support for multithreading and parallelism are better than almost every language out there (whether one should use it over C++ is dependent on one's background).

Have at it. My hives are like my brain in that they're entirely void of any signs of intelligent life. ๐Ÿ˜‚

That's one way of looking at it haha. Nice username btw.

I am ashamed to say that it took me far longer than it should have for me to understand what the hell I was doing with Git.

Yep, and this means increased taxes if they hire an American, because Americans have to pay both halves of the employment taxes if they're self-employed and filing a 1099.

Oof you picked the wrong field. Honestly, programmer culture is elitist and toxic as fuck, speaking as someone who made that mistake before.

Yeah I've noticed a rise in electron apps. Just because it is technically cross platform doesn't make something efficient. In a lot of cases, devs and large enterprises would be better off simply rewriting code from scratch in Kotlin, Flutter, etc., if performance is the name of the game.

Nailed it. I'll ask for API docs references when I'm asking ChatGPT about a code snippet, so I can go in and maybe try functionality in a sandbox before it even touches my dev code.

Skilled developers are always in demand

If you got in before like 2020 yeah. Otherwise I'd honestly suggest moving on. I can't get fuck all having started in 2022.

The angry part does*

The issue? I'm the idiot. Any suggestions for a guide to JS/TS for someone trying to learn about front-end development.
