Yep, though we also have "Klokken halv 4" which is especially confusing for foreigners

In Denmark it's always written in 24hr, but I'd say it's 50/50 whether we say 3 or 15 for 15:00.

I guess saying 3 is more casual. But we never use "hundred". 15:30 would just be fifteen-thirty.

I just have a small counter on my Polybar checking how many packages can be updated. Once it reaches a few hundred, I upgrade.

The tool gdu is very nice for finding space culprits.

Never used Bazzite, but isn't it heavy on packaged apps with snap or flatpak? Inherently space inefficient (and I despise them both passionately).

Don't update all the time. I update every couple of days like a maniac, but once every few weeks is fine too.

There's a distro for every level of "I want to do it myself" vs "I want everything to be made ready for me".

There is archinstall which does everything for you. If you don't wanna do anything yourself though, just check out CachyOS or EndeavourOS

He made a loose nazi joke like 10 years ago and the reaction was hilarious. He's definitely not a nazi

In which they actually stole the font to make the ad

Limiting factor will probably be network - if you hook it up with cable, it should be fine

I just use my (static) IP directly with port forwards on my router.

Sure, I get hundreds of login attempts every day, but that's just life on the internet. Just secure your stuff and you're fine.

Yes, like with everything else you self host.

You could also use some paid service like Cloudflare if you want to hide it for some reason.

But generally people are overly protective of their home IP. What's the danger? DDoS?

People know my physical address but my house hasn't been burned down yet..

Even on a crusty old laptop you can easily serve hundreds of users with Mumble

I have used Arch for >13 years (btw) and use the terminal every single session. I also work with Linux servers daily, so I tried the other families with DEs (Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS/AlmaLinux/Fedora).

I'm comfortable (and prefer) doing everything with CLI tools. For me, it's a bit difficult to convert my Windows friends, as they all see me as some kind of hackerman.

What's the landscape like nowadays, in terms of terminal requirements?

Bonus question: Which distribution is the most user-friendly while still updated packages? Does anything provide a similar experience to Arch's amazing AUR?
