If I would avoid code by companies I see as unethical, I could throw my computer away. But that's the beauty of open source, I don't care who has written the code, I care about being able to look at it and change it for my personal use.

I can't tell you exactly, because as a German I have no idea of our grammar, I speak and write how it feels right. But I found this, if you are interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_(linguistics)

Yeah, you really missed my point by saying that. This law on its own is not dangerous, because you can lie.

They will clearly stop it there, I mean its for the safety of our children after all.

Kinda. In Germany, we put many words together, to form a new word.

Jugend = youth Medien = media Schutz = protection Staat = State Vertrag = contract

Its not that he said age verification is holocaust. He made the valid point, that no one should mindlessly following laws.

Also, there is a difference between drawing a comparison and equating events, or downplaying the suffering of the Holocaust.

Edit: You definitely can make a comparison, that downplays the holocaust. That would be antisemitic. But that's not what OP did.

Yeah, its not like there is a big push by many governments around the world, for more surveillance and therefore less privacy, right?

[–] RedWedding@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 2 months ago

It is a slippery slope, because it came as a response to a law. The law itself does not require a real verification for now, but it is clearly a step in this direction. If we look how governments world wide push for laws to undermine privacy for control, these laws are part of this push.

The birth field itself might even be a "good" tool for parents (I am not a fan of restricting your kids, but I know many are). The problem many people have with the changes by systemd is their anticipatory obedience with these laws.

Yeah sure, direct access to my system is unconstitutional. But bombing places for oil and slavery in prisons isn't. Nobody in power cares about your constitution. Be happy that your civilized constitutional country takes care about all these terrorists in the middle east lol.

Why haven't we heard anything about this? Was there big media coverage about this?

You don't buy ammo anymore. You buy a weapon and it has a predefined number of ammunition.

Its not one man. Just look at the Epstein class. It never was about voting the right people, it was always about managing the class conflict.

I feel like Italy and Spain are the two countries in Europe with the highest class consciousness.
